Here’s a little SEO secret no one really talks about. When you think of big multi-billion dollar companies, where do you think they get most of their SEO traffic from? Is it one keyword? Thousands of keywords? Maybe even millions? And do you think they are worried about Google algorithm updates? Well, they may be worried about algorithm updates because no one wants to lose revenue. But check out how much of their SEO traffic comes from their brand name. The bigger the company, typically the more of their traffic comes from their brand name. Build a brand!

Stop using the color RED on your website. Colors affect purchases. People associate the color red with stop. Such as a stop light or a stop sign. And when people use that color for their call to action buttons, we typically see conversion rates drop by 8 to 13%. Instead, here are some other colors to try. Yellow – the color is optimistic and youthful. Typically used to grab the attention of a window shopper. Blue – creates a sensation of trust and security. Often used by banks and businesses. Green – is typically associated with wealth and is one of the easiest colors for the eye to process. It’s used to create a sense of relaxation. Orange – this color is typically aggressive. It’s used for call-to-action buttons like “subscribe”. Typically, because the color pops on a page. Pink – it’s romantic and in many cases, it is used to market products to women. Black – it’s powerful and sleek. Typically used to market luxury products. Think Amex black card. Purple – used to soothe and calm. You see it used with a lot of anti-aging and beauty products. Colors can affect your conversion rates in both a positive and a negative way. Use the right color for the right time and place.

The dumbest thing you can spend money on as an entrepreneur is a business coach. I just don’t get it. I know so many people who spend money on coaches. And they always tell me, oh this coach is so successful, smart, and rich… It’s a bunch of bull… if the coach were that rich from their previous ventures, they wouldn’t be a coach. And if they truly wanted to be a coach because they “loved” it... then they would do it for free because they don’t care for the money. Or they would do it for equity in your company and only make money if you made money. I just don’t get why people hire business coaches that charge money on a monthly or annual basis. If you want mentorship, there are others ways to get it. And no, it doesn’t have to cost money. Plus the coaches you really want help from, the ones who know what they are doing, won’t just help you out for money. They don’t run Facebook ads to try and get your money. It’s much harder to convince them. And the coaches who are rich and have fancy houses and cars, it’s from all people that are paying them for coaching.
