😡1.Interrupt: Nothing is more frustrating than to have your fluid chain of thought broken. Allow them to express when you notice them engrossed in sharing. And keep your thoughts to be said once they are done. 🥺2.Get intimidated: Feeling intimidated = feeling inferior = tense state of mind = poor/censored communication 🤦♀️3.Talk too much about yourself: Humans are ego-centric creatures. Everyone enjoys talking about themselves. Let them. Speak when you feel they are ready to listen. 👀4.Avoid eye contact: Eyes are how we gauge and connect with other people. Lack of eye contact signals lack of confidence or the fact that you re hiding something. 🫵🏻5.Trying to One up: When they say something good that happened to them, do not jump into share something better that happened to you. Let people have their moment and you can have yours too. 🤔6.Listening to react: Constantly thinking about what you re going to say next or react instead of actually focusing on what they are saying is the biggest sign of a failed communication. 📲7.Constantly checking phone: Breaking eye contact to check your phone signals you are not interested in what they are saying. This can be viewed as disrespectful. ❌8.Zero non-verbal feedback: Words are not the only way of communicating. 📝1.Long to-do lists: Doing 3 things in a to do list of 20 things is a much faster way of destroying your confidence than finishing 3 tasks In a list of 3 tasks. Be realistic. 🛼2.Dirty shoes: Footwear is the farthest item on our body. Clean, well- maintained shoes signal attention to detail to yourself and others. 🤔3.Overthinking: If you tend to think a LOT, use your intelligence FOR you and not AGAINST you. 🙇♂️4.Under Do: Confidence comes from repetition of action. DO - REFINE - REPEAT. ⏰5.Idea/Execution time: Spending too much time in the planning phase exhausts your dopamine/feel-good hormone bank leaving very little motivation to actually DO the thing. 🪩6.Perfectionism: Do not let perfect get in the way of Good Enough. The person you become going from step 1 to step 6 will know what to do when step 7 comes. Quantity first quality later. 👻7.Discomfort w your own ugliness: We can look beautiful and we can look ugly. The ease that comes from accepting this human duality will give you the type of inner confidence that is irreplaceable. 🙅🏻♀️8.A fragile ego: When you have something to protect you have something to fear.
