Read this before you create your next Reel ⤵️ When it comes to Reels (and short form video in general) the trim tool is the most underrated tool out there… And not using it can literally RUIN your Reel’s performance. When Reels first made their debut, the importance of the trim tool (& how to use it) was the FIRST thing I taught my clients. And this is still true today… Here’s why trimming your talk-to-camera videos is so so so important ⤵️ Watch time is critical on Instagram and it’s your goal to keep people’s attention. But pauses and dead air are like exit ramps for the viewer ✌️ But simply removing silence and “ums” can make ALL the difference and drastically increase views when done correctly. Here’s what to do: STEP 1) Open Reels and add your talk-to-camera video from your camera roll STEP 2) Tap “next” then “edit video” then tap on the clip you want to trim. STEP 3) Once highlighted yellow, trim out any dead air in the beginning by dragging the clip to the right (I drag until my mouth is half open so there’s ZERO silence) then do the same throughout the video by tapping the Split button and adjusting other sections with those awkward pauses and “ums”. BONUS TIP: You can also use other apps like InShot to edit OR apps with AI tools that remove silence automatically! @kapwingapp is one I’m aware of) Ok, friend! Now go practice, share with a friend who will find this helpful, and drop a 🙌 if this was helpful. #reelstips #igreels #instagramforbusiness #socialmediamanager #socialmediacoach #instagramcoach #instagramreelstips #reelstipsandtricks #instagramtips #instagramforsmallbusiness #instagramforbusiness #instagramcoach #socialmediatrainer #socialmediacoach #socialmediatips #instagramtipsandtricks

I gained 1,000 followers in 3 days 👇🏻 And even if you know NOTHING about Instagram, I’m gonna explain it in a way you CANNOT miss it. By the time you’re done reading this post, getting new beautiful people to follow you everyday will become a piece of cake. First you have to understand that the algorithm prioritises 2 things if the video is short : SAVES AND SHARES. So the more saves and shares you get the closer you are to going viral. Once you understand this, you know you have to create either EXTREMELY relatable content so people share it or create EXTREMELY valuable content (like this post) so people absolutely NEED to save it because they don’t want to forget it. Here is how to apply this to your industry : Say you’re doing a video about why people should prioritise going to the gym in the morning. It’s good value, but people have absolutely no reason to save it because they can remember it without saving it 🤷🏻‍♂️. So instead of doing a video like this, make it a tutorial 🤷🏻‍♂️. “Here is how I NEVER miss a day of going to the gym.” And then in the video proceed to show some ACTUAL steps (how you set up your alarm, etc..). Now keep in mind, if the steps are not unique, people will find it boring and will click off. Your viewer should have that “AHAAA” moment. If you give the viewer a bunch of steps to follow to solve a problem he’s frustrated with (in this case, he find it impossible to be disciplined), he will save it for later because you just gave him a practical advice on how to solve his problem! Something he has NEVER TRIED BEFORE. And that’s where the value is. You NEED TO GIVE THE VIEWER A REASON TO SAVE. If not, you might have the most valuable video in the world, it won’t go viral regardless. Now of course, we’re just talking about going viral when it comes to educational content (you teaching the viewer something) But there are a bunch of different types of content, and to each type, it’s own method of going viral.
