5 REALISTIC HABITS THAT HELPED ME BUILD A 6-FIGURE NET WORTH IN MY 20S 👇🏻 Before we get into this, I want to be super clear that these are not THE ONLY THINGS but they are small things that made a big difference! 1. TRACKING MY EXPENSES: I have been pretty religiously tracking my expenses for over 4 years and I can confidently say this has made THE BIGGEST DIFFERENCE in how I spend my money. I track everything using The Personal Finance Dashboard linked in my bio! 2. CREATING AN IMPULSE LIST: I have a running list on my phone of anything I see on social/online that I want to buy. If i feel the urge, it goes onto the list! This helps with creating distance between myself and the purchase, and also is a way to keep track of things I may want in the future! 3. ADJUSTING MY BUDGET WEEKLY: If you struggling to stick to your budget, you probably need to adjust it!! it’s super normal and fine for your spending to change throughout the month. Your budget needs to reflect that! Don’t shy away from adjusting and shifting as necessary. 4. CONSUMING MONEY CONTENT DAILY: If you’re reading this you’re already ahead of the curve 🎯 Every day I am either reading some PF content ( I love Medium) or consuming it on socials! This helps share new perspectives and ideas which led to a deeper understanding of PF concepts that impacted my finances for the better. 5. INCREASING MY 401K EACH YEAR: When I was working corporate, every year I increased my 401k contribution by at least 1%. This is a small adjustment in your net pay, but will make a HUGE difference long-term in your retirement savings. As always, I track all of my expenses and manage my money with The Personal Finance Dashboard, which is available in my bio! #personalfinance #moneyhabits
