This audio can very easily be misunderstood: when we talk about becoming a ‘better version of ourselves’ it means letting go of the old you—the one you’ve outgrown. 💡This includes old habits, fears, and doubts. Change is essential, and growth brings positive change. As we improve, our connection with ourselves deepens, our routines evolve, and we transform in appearance. However, none of this can occur if we cling to our comfortable, old selves. In 2024, it’s time you reach your potential and become the Better You 🫶🏼 . . . . . . . . . I didn’t “get my body back” postpartum. . My body is forever changed postpartum. . In the best way possible. . When I was pregnant, people would tell me all the time that I would miss my old body & that things just wouldn’t be the same PP. There was always a negative connotation behind these statements & it honestly stressed me out during my pregnancy thinking I would never get my strength & endurance back. . When I first started working out again PP, I was so defeated. I had trouble engaging my core, I had to do push-ups on my knees & I couldn’t do a single, unassisted pull-up. . Spending time working out gave me mom guilt. I constantly felt like I had to be tending to my son or working around the house. I felt judged by society for taking any time away from my mom duties to workout, but the truth is, working out & spending that time on myself, made me a more present mom. . I joined a crossfit gym & that gave me just the motivation I needed to take control of my health & build back my strength PP. I was surrounded by so many other strong moms & I felt empowered to fall back in love with fitness. . I can honestly say I am stronger, faster & more resilient now than I ever was before having a kid. Not by luck, but by making a decision to show up EVERY. DAY. (even when it was hardest). . God’s design for the female body is truly so beautiful & amazing! Don’t underestimate His design 🫶🏼 #postpartum #postpartumfitness #transformation #consistency #workhard #luck #lucky #trending #reels
