✅Save and Share this video now! 👉The *401# call forwarding scam is a type of phone fraud that involves scammers tricking victims into enabling call forwarding on their phones. This allows the scammers to intercept all incoming calls, including those from banks and other financial institutions. The scammers can then use this information to steal money from the victim’s accounts. Here is another way how this happens: 👉The scammer calls the victim and pretends to be a customer service representative from the victim’s mobile network operator or internet service provider. 👉The scammer tells the victim that their account has been compromised or that there is a problem with their SIM card. 👉The scammer then tells the victim that they need to dial a specific code to fix the problem. This code is usually *401# followed by a phone number. 👉Once the victim dials the code, call forwarding is activated on their phone and all incoming calls are forwarded to the scammer’s number. 👉The scammer can then intercept all of the victim’s incoming calls, including those from banks and other financial institutions.
