let's imagine we're running a company let's say we're selling cars everybody wants one of our cars so a bunch of people walking into the car dealership and we have five sales one is really good for our habits while everyone wants to crack some lots of leads coming in and all the sales
that is imagine something bad happens to the carbine is a big crash or the cars keep setting on fire now less people are coming in but also the company needs money worse than ever so now what happens is when lee walks in the door the sales manager takes all the leaves and gives them to the best guy when times get hard i'm an absolute meritocracy and the very best of the best get more opportunity whereas the average sucks so you must become the best
you do life will be easier for you than it's ever been but if you stay out it's gonna get harder than it's ever been
