Stop listening to unqualified people!

They can’t advise you. Because they haven’t achieved what you want to achieve.

People typically aren’t aware of their compulsion to offer unsolicited advice.

Which comes from a desire to be useful, powerful, to validate their experience, to feel significant.

These needs and desires blinker their self awareness, making them oblivious to the fact what they’re doing isn’t working.

One maxim that's served me; always question the source.

Ask yourself; 'has this person achieved what I want to achieve?' If not, you shouldn’t be listening.

What’s the worst advice you’ve ever received? Let me know in the comments.

i'm mistake that will cost you time is listening to unqualified people the obese coworker
giving you diet advice a single cat lady giving new relationship
advice that person who hates their job giving you career advice people who've never got any money giving you financial voice people can't help themselves because they want to feel better about themselves they want to feel wise useful powerful like their own experiences have had a purpose this desire
overrides their reality that what they're doing
isn't working they failed to see this because objective eighties hard to find in their echo chamber surrounded by yes people perpetuating
their perspective building their bias so make sure
that people you're taking advice from have achieved what you want to achieve
