Sophia Loren interview from 1979 talking about her nose.
When she first started her career, many people (including her future husband, producer Carlo Ponti) told her that her nose was too long for the camera and should get a nose job. She replied “If I have to change my nose, I am going back to Pozzuoli.” She didn’t get a nose job and still had a very successful career in film.
I think it's important to note, her husband Carlo Ponti was a HUGE Italian film producer. If you don’t know about him, he produced hundreds of films, including some of Italy’s most successful and popular films. They originally met when she was a teenager at a beauty pageant Sophia was in and just starting her career. At that time most actresses had small button noses or their noses done to look that way.

Don’t change yourself to please others 🤍
