she is totally right and i have talked about this before but we're gonna talk about it again so first off your boss has their own full plate of things that they are trying to do and if you have a boss who's a good boss and not a micromanager

they do not have time to be babysitting everything you're working on so if you are looking to move up in your career and get more accolades and more opportunities it's important to be communicating effectively upwards the great work that you're doing but more importantly the impact of the work that you're doing this means packaging your tasks together by impact by stakeholder in order to clearly articulate the value that you bring to the company you don't just want to share a laundry list of tasks because they could probably hire somebody off the street to do a bunch of little tasks instead you want to show how you're making the company better by packaging those tasks together as big impact deliverables
