here's how i spent my software engineering salary last month i got promoted last month but my first paycheck won't reflect that until this month however i did get a bonus last month so my total gross income for my software engineering job was fifteen thousand three hundred seven dollars after taxes for one k contributions and health insurance i walked away with nine thousand sixty one dollars but as some people know now i make a decent amount of money from my social media in fact last month i made nine thousand one hundred forty dollars even though i'll have to pay taxes on this more money hit my account for my social media that might w to job now onto the expenses i spent one thousand five hundred and fifty dollars on rent and utilities spent fifteen hundred dollars on operating expenses for my social media spent seven hundred and fifty dollars on eating out this is way more than normal but i took a trip back home to albuquerque and paid for almost everyone's meal while i was there i spent five hundred sixty nine dollars on groceries two hundred and sixty seven dollars on clothing this was exclusively lululemon i wanted new work pants spent two hundred and sixty two dollars on health this is stuff like my gym membership and supplements and then a bunch of other miscellaneous expenses like uber's or amazon purchases in total last month i spent five thousand seven hundred and thirty six dollars meaning of the eighteen thousand two hundred dollars that hit my account last month i saved twelve thousand four hundred sixty five dollars at the moment most of my money is in cash sitting in a money market fund getting around five percent because i'm saving up for a down payment on my first property if you're wondering why i don't quit my day job and go all in on the social media stuff it's very inconsistent and why not just have two incomes i'll follow me for more content
