my parents were able to amass a very impressive real estate portfolio simply in one generation with a w to government salary and with a hair salon just a normal mom and pop shop when i was in elementary school my parents purchased one single family home for one hundred and sixty five thousand dollars and then they put a long-term tenant in that and then they bought another property putting twenty percent down and put a long-term tenant in that by the time i was in middle school they sold the sfv ours and they put down a payment on a vacant commercial building they took out a loan to improve the property and they found a long-term tenant and the by the time i was in high school they sold that one building and they were able to put downpayment onto that first multifamily property by the time i got into college and grad school my parents refinanced that and then use that money to consistently continue to buy and diversify themselves into real estate and other business endeavors
