if you allow your kid to be your friend they're gonna push you up and they're gonna get away with everything yeah you wanna have a good relationship with your job however make sure that they know there's a level of hierarchy that they're not part of you or the books they just living in your world learning from every mistake you've ever made you know what they used to say to me as a kid maybe thirteen fourteen fifteen years old if i would chime in in an adult conversation

children should be seen and not heard

in other words shut the fuck up and listen they wanna go out and make their own mistakes then it's on them but
