“One day in” meant I was stunned how we “missed it” and his behavior was unacceptable… I knew right there he wasn’t one of us, we worked on making it better but it wasn’t meant to be … for many of you the inability to admit these misses and the lack of action around them hurts the entire organization .. hiring is guessing … firing is knowing … work hard to help people make the adjustments to be successful in your orgs but please especially for small businesses don’t let your ego around being good at hiring hold you back from admiring your mistakes .. hope this video helps someone make the tough decisions they need to make in January to make 2024 a success ….

i've got really good hiring advice learn to fire fast you guys have your ego tied up in your hiring you think you're so good at hiring and then you hire somebody and they're shit but you may pretend they're not because firing them admits that you were wrong so it's your own ego that's holding you back my ego is only balanced by my humility i hired somebody for hundreds of thousands of dollars six months ago interviewed him three times i fired him one day into working at vader media i'm like thought check your ego in the door you're not that great at fucking hiring but good news nobody is
