the part that's gonna be really hard for a lot of parents whatever my kids end up deciding to do with their lives is not a reflection of who i am i literally tell my boys all time i will love you no matter what you come to me with your grades are you proud yeah i'm proud for you but you don't have to be anything to me you don't have to win the soccer game i'll be there with you all celebrate the progress but there's nothing for you to be for me to love you a lot of people looking at me thinking was this guy gets together because i heard his kids doing x y and z i don't care myself worth is not tied to my kids outcome in their life
