i have a theory that david goggins and elon musk are actually not motivated people instead they rely on something called hedonic reversal typically when we are going through something really really difficult we've find it hard tiring we want to give up people that have this theory find these things really really exhilarating they get reward from pleasure so that they can keep doing it more often than not this is what you need to do in all aspects of life you need to associate this pain with a reward so that you can positively do it more often
